A Fork in the Road

I know I posted that our next book would be a Food Journal, but I have taken a slight detour. The food journal is still knocking around in the back of my head, but several factors have pushed it into the background. I have spent the past week or so developing my first Coloring Book! This is an idea I have toyed around with for a while (if for no other reason than they seem to be more lucrative than journals). Yes there are loads of coloring books out there, so how will this one stand out in the crowd? My hope is that bringing original photos to the table will be a unique separator.

Some years ago I did a fair amount of Scuba diving, and became a reasonably proficient underwater photographer. I thought it would be fun, and hopefully interesting to bring some of my better shots to a coloring book. I have completed the first draft, and hope to have it published in the next week or so.

My key differentiator will be that I am posting the original photos used to create the coloring pages on this site. I will put a QR code on each coloring page so that you can easily see the full color image of the picture, along with some interesting facts about the subject.

I am looking forward to heading down this new path…
